email - Tried and True

Send all email to plav@timeoff.org. This well-attended address receives several hundreds of messages daily. There used to be quite a number of alternates listed here but since I own timeoff.org this is about as permanent an address as an address can be. Use it - all the others forward there eventually anyway.

Google Talk

I needed to pick up a Google Talk account for a project I'm working on. In order to do that Google forced me to obtain a GMail account, something I had resisted for quite a long time. Then they said I could rid of GMail if I wish. The trouble is - and you just know there's always a 'gotcha' - it's a permanent deletion and the username can't be re-used. So Google Talk works, but don't bother trying to contact me using the GMail because I chosen to simply pretend it doesn't exist.
